I think the multi-tab approach that Hyperarts offers is a brilliant solution for the box issue and makes great use of a smaller canvas size. Aside from adjusting to the new width, did you make any other changes to accommodate the smaller width?

Thanks Analisa for your comment. We have been planning for this change for a while, although we thought that Canvas Applications would be spared...alas, we were wrong :) You can see our recently designed canvas app here: http://www.facebook.com/HYPERARTS?v=app_126026510774735&ref=ts
All of our FBML tabs are 520 pixels though, and every FBML tab or template that we build is compliant with the changes. Our clients are just as happy as we are!

Great post about the changes! From there, I think Dell set a good example with Twitter - combining the name of the employee with the transparency of the company logo and name. As for fanning pages, one page can pick another as a favorite, which solves that problem.
As for transfer of accounts, etc., I think Facebook is forcing organizations into a corner - they want a company profile to use as the base for all registrations, but have to violate the terms of use in order to do it - I'd love to see them come up with a solution.
As for LinkedIn, I think the company profiles are a real problem - no ability for a corp to regulate them, yet the professional nature of LinkedIn lends credibility to them - it's a lose-lose in my opinion.
Thanks for sharing the link and for your comment!

Hi Charlie – I think there are a number of issues to deal with here.<br
