It’s been a rough weekend for Twitter. Two worms, StalkDaily and mikeyy, have run amok on profiles posting annoying messages.
To be sure, the posts are only a nuisance instead of malicious and Twitter has said unequivocally that no passwords, phone numbers or other sensitive information has been compromised by the attack. The second worm posts replies:

StalkDaily was created by a bored 17-year-old in Brooklyn named Mikeyy Mooney. The second worm, which appeared early Sunday, appears to be using the same entryways that Twitter claimed to have sealed after StalkDaily.
What to do in the meantime? Use another desktop app (my suggestion is TweetDeck) to get your Twitter kicks. Mashable will have updates as the worm progresses.
